#GETSOME October 13th in East Lansing, MI

After a 6 year stint of hosting the Grappler Fall Classic in Battle Creek, Michigan at Kellogg Arena, the pre-season national event is now moving to a new home.

The 2018 GFC will be held in East Lansing, Michigan on the campus of Michigan State University at Jenison Fieldhouse.  This is the home of Michigan State Wrestling home events and has held numerous large youth and high school wrestling events in the past.

"I am really excited about the move to MSU," said GFC Tournament Director Tony Greathouse, "Kellogg has been great to us and allowed the GFC to grow over the last few years, but we are in need of a venue that can get more mats down and a location more accommodating for the out-of-state athletes and groups we are attracting.  East Lansing's proximity to airports and selection of hotels makes trips easier to plan and the MSU campus in October is a beautiful place to visit while traveling for a wrestling tournament."

This will be the 9th year of the Grappler Fall Classic and last year's GFC saw more top tier talent than ever.  Jenison Fieldhouse will be the 3rd host venue of the tournament as it began in Tecumseh High School in 2010 and 2011 before moving to Kellogg Arena for the last 6 years.

Aside from the new venue, almost all of the traditional features of the that have defined the GFC will remain consistent - 1 day tournament, all divisions wrestling under one roof, college out-of-bounds & riding time, collegiate officials, top notch video and media coverage, and more!

Registration will open August 1st, check for details and updates throughout the Spring and Summer on www.grapplerfallclassic.com
